How are characters counted?
Characters are counted as Unicode code points, which correctly counts Hindi, English, and most emoji as 1 character each (instead of 2 like the traditional JavaScript length).
What are the correct limits for each platform?
Instagram captions allow 2,200 characters. X (Twitter) posts allow 280 characters on the free tier. Meta descriptions should ideally stay under 160 characters for full display in search results. SEO titles should stay under 60 characters.
Does it count spaces?
Yes — the main "Characters" count includes spaces. The "No Spaces" count excludes them.
