How to Use This Flashcard Maker
- Enter a deck name and press Create deck.
- Fill in a term and definition, then press Add card. Repeat for each card.
- Use Edit or Delete in the card list to manage cards.
- In Study Mode, press Flip card (or the card itself) to reveal the answer.
- Use Previous / Next / Shuffle to move through the deck.
- Use Export JSON to back up decks, Import JSON to restore them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are my decks stored?
In your browser's localStorage under the key calbtools.flashcards.v1. They never leave your device.
Can I move my decks to another device?
Yes. Export JSON on the first device and Import JSON on the second. Imported files are validated before use.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page is loaded, the tool needs no network connection.
Is there a limit on decks or cards?
200 decks per browser and 500 cards per deck. The real limit is your browser's storage quota — if saving fails, a clear message appears instead of silent data loss.
